Battery energy storage systems
We help our clients design, build, and operate their portfolio of battery energy storage assets. These are integral to enabling an increased use of renewables and decarbonising the electricity grid and as we transition towards Net Zero.
As BESS projects continue to increase in size they require connecting at higher voltages. At Energy-io we leverage our Tier 1 transmission to experience to design, construct and connect projects up to 400kV - contributing to a secure and resilient store of energy.

The UK benefits from the abundance of inexhaustible wind power. Utilised for over 30 years, onshore wind is a mature and proven solution, even though the technology behind it continues to evolve.

Transmission substations
Our team is experienced with both Air-Insulated (AIS) and Gas-Insulated (GIS) substations, ranging from 132kV to 400kV.
Collectively, we’ve worked on all stages of a project lifecycle from feasibility, through development and construction, to commissioning, and right through to final handover. This practical knowledge positions us well for delivering developer connections to the Transmission network for our clients.
